Grade 4 "Audubon Ark" '08

As part of their unit on birds, the Fourth Graders had a visit from Susan Vecchi of Massachusetts Audubon's "Audubon Ark Outreach Program." She brought with her two live birds of prey: a red-tailed hawk and a barred owl, both indigenous to New England. While half the class attended the live animal presentation, the other half examined and sketched a wide assortment of bird parts: feathers, wings, legs, and skulls brought from Audubon.
