Secondary School Matriculation


Pike students tend to excel in the academic programs of competitive secondary schools, markedly so in their first year. Acclimation is almost immediate. They are used to close relationships with their teachers, active participation in class discussions, critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, and the hard work and time management skills necessary for success. Pike students are also well suited to independent learning, group activities, and seeking help from teachers when they need it.

Most Pike graduates apply to, and are accepted by, independent day or boarding schools, but many choose to attend their local high school. Pike provides expert guidance and advising to students and their families, maximizing each child’s chances of matriculating at a secondary school where he or she will flourish.
