Diversity Dessert 2008

Our second Diversity Dessert was a huge success! It was an opportunity for families from all three divisions to come together to learn more about each other and about Pike’s current diversity initiatives. The night started out with a game of Multicultural Bingo and an amazing array of desserts from all over the world. With such a large crowd, everyone packed into the Community Room to hear about the experiences of Pike alumna Zahra Bhaiwala. The night continued as faculty and both Upper and Middle School students shared information and reflections on the Affinity and Multicultural Group program. Lastly, parents shared their ideas about developing a multicultural group for families. The night ended with a flurry of suggestions, new connections, and inspiration.

We believe that by recognizing, respecting, sharing, and appreciating our similarities and differences, we grow and flourish.
