You don't have to purchase books to enjoy reading an ebook. Use the following links and information to borrow an electronic book from the Pike Library.

The Pike Library has 12 Nooks that Middle and Upper School students may borrow after they have returned a signed permission slip to the library. The Nooks are preloaded with a selection of titles; you can search the catalog for a complete list. Click here to download a pdf of the Nook permission slip.

The Pike Library has a small collection of ebooks that are accessed and read using Follett BryteWave. You can download the app to your iPad or use the reader on your computer. To get your log-in information, please visit the library.

The Pike Library has joined the Massachusetts Library System's eBook Program which gives us access to two collection of ebooks.

Axis360 provides access to popular and current books for everyone. Available in both digital and audio format. You will need to create an account. Pike families click here for directions.

BiblioBoard is a great resource for items that are in the public domain. For example, you can find the fairy tales of Grimm and Lang. A fascinating collection to browse. If you are in Massachusetts, you do not need an account to read the titles.


OverDrive is the app that lets you borrow books (digital and audio) from your local public library. You have a variety of choices for how you want to access the titles - on your phone, tablet, e-reader, or computer. Click here fordirections from Memorial Hall Library on using OverDrive.
