Fundraising is essential to Pike's continued success as an institution dedicated to developing within our community a life-long love of learning, respect for others, the joy of physical activity, and a creative spirit. Thus we encourage the solicitation and acceptance of gifts that enable us to fulfill our mission. All fundraising efforts on behalf of The Pike School are approved by the Office of Advancement, including, but not limited to, letter, email, and phone solicitations.
The primary objectives of The Pike School Office of Advancement are:
- To ensure a secure financial future for The Pike School by engaging current parents, alumni parents, alumni, grandparents, Trustees, faculty, staff and friends philanthropically to benefit Pike
- Provide excellent stewardship of all gifts
- Maintain and cultivate the sense of community that alumni experienced as students and work to strengthen their affiliation with the school through an active alumni association
Whats is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is our annual giving campaign that runs in conjunction with the school's fiscal year of July 1 - June 30. It gives the school the capacity to allocate resources directly towards programs, and respond to needs that arise during the year. These gifts are unrestricted, which means that Pike can designate funds in flexible and diverse ways; enhancing the student experience in all grades and all aspects of the school.
Why does Pike need an Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund provides the additional funds needed to cover the actual cost of operating the school. Tuition alone does not pay for your child's education. Gifts made by our community make up the difference needed to cover the actual cost of operating the school. Supplementing our tuition dollars through financial gifts helps keep tuition at a competitive rate and provides many important programs and improvements that are essential to Pike's mission.
