Bleeding School Colors (Fall 2011)
This 8th Grade play, written and produced by the students, was about rivalries. Through the scene work, the students considered why rivalries begin, why they continue, and why it is difficult to bring a rivalry to an end. The play also examined the stressful and destructive forces that arise when rivalries divide families.
Orphan Train (Spring 2011)
Drama teacher Trisha Gordon and
music/music theater teacher Chris Desjardins
have taken the Ninth Graders, some of whom have
never been on stage before, and given them the
confidence to act and sing in this musical play by
Aurand Harris.
No Going Back (Spring 2011)
This year the theme for the student-written
8th Grade show was the evolution of communication.
The students decided to focus on how technology
has changed and will continue to change the way
we communicate with one another over time. They
created a show that takes place mostly in the future
and explores what could happen if a new piece of
technology called a "brain chip" replaces all forms
of communication as we know it.
