25-26 6th Grade School Owned iPad FAQ

2025- 2026 School Year

Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, 6th grade students will receive school-owned iPads to support their learning both in and out of the classroom. This change will create a more seamless experience for students and teachers by ensuring every iPad is configured for learning, minimizing distractions, and allowing faculty to better support students in their learning.

During the 2025-26 school year, 7th-9th grade students will continue using family-owned iPads. Please find more information about the 7th-9th program here.

Why 1-to-1?
Pike students live in an increasingly interconnected and information-rich world. Our children will have to be skilled collaborators, able to combine multiple disciplines and incorporate new disciplines into their repertoire throughout their lives. They will need to demonstrate creativity and innovation, as well as critical thinking when solving problems and making decisions. Technology-rich classrooms tend to encourage collaboration, inclusion, participation, and exploration.
