Step 2: Visit Pike's Campus
We invite you to visit us to learn more about the power of a Pike education.
- Sign up for weekday tours with current Pike parent/guardians. If you are not seeing dates or times that work for your schedule, please contact us at admission@pikeschool.org
- Attend our All School Open House on Sunday, November 17
- Join us at any of our Community Events
Step 3: Start Your Application
To begin the application process please complete the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire and submit an application fee of $50. Fee waivers are available by contacting admission@pikeschool.org.
Our deadline to submit the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire is January 15, 2025. All supporting materials are due February 3, 2025. Please contact the Admission Office at admission@pikeschool.org with any questions.
International Applicants
The Pike School welcomes students and families from diverse backgrounds around the world. While we are unable to issue or transfer Form I-20 for non-immigrant F-1 visa students, we encourage families relocating to the area with a visa status that permits K-9 education to apply. Please note that The Pike School does not have an English Language Learner (ELL) program and is not a boarding school. Therefore, we do not provide housing, residential arrangements, or homestay agreements. Students are expected to live with a parent or legal guardian.
Step 4: Parent/Guardian Interview Meetings
We are eager to learn more about your family!
Please go to your Admission Portal to schedule your Parent/Guardian Interview. To schedule an interview, you must first submit your Parent/ Guardian Questionnaire and application fee.
Parent/guardian interviews may be conducted on campus or via Zoom to accommodate a wide range of schedules. You can schedule your virtual meeting through Calendly on your Admission Portal. Please call our Admission Office if you prefer to schedule an in-person meeting. You will receive the Parent/Guardian interview questions via email before your meeting. We look forward to getting to know you and your child in an authentic and relaxed setting!

Step 5: Complete Grade Appropriate Assessments & Visits
Pre-K and Kindergarten
We will hold group classroom visit days in November, December, and January. Call the Admission team for detailed information and to schedule a convenient day.
Grade 1 - 4: Classroom Visit Day on Friday, January 31, 2025:
During the assessment visits, the children interact with teachers and engage in age-appropriate activities.
Grade 5 - 9 Student Interviews and Assessments on Friday, January 31, 2025:
During these campus visits, the children will be interviewed by a Faculty or Staff member, participate in a written assessment for reading, writing, and math, and engage in fun activities in small groups.
Please note:
- Interview questions will be sent to the applicant prior to their student visit day.
- International and long-distance applicants may Zoom with us for student interviews and assessments. We will schedule dates and times individually.
- The parent/guardian questionnaire must be submitted prior to your child's visit day.
Step 6: Submit Supporting Documents
As we work to learn more about your child, there are supporting documents required to complete the application process. The deadline for receipt of these documents is February 3, 2025.
- Submit Teacher Recommendations
- Send the School Record Release Form
- Submit Standardized Test Scores (Optional)
- Submit TOEFL Scores ( International Students Only)
Submit Teacher Recommendations
- Teacher recommendation forms should be sent via email through our Admission Portal to the student's current teacher. Upper School applicants include Math and English teacher recommendations. The form is specific to each subject, so please send both the Math and English teacher recommendation form.
- This form should be completed by the student's teacher and uploaded directly to our Admission Portal. The email will contain instructions and a link to upload the form.
- When the teacher has submitted the form, you will be notified via email.
- All teacher recommendations are due by February 3, 2025.
Send the School Record Release Form
Give this form to the student's current school in December. It should be completed by the school registrar and submitted directly to Pike via email or U.S. mail. The instructions are on the Student Record Release Form for the school to follow.
Accompanying transcripts should include the student's reports for the 2023-24 academic year and 2024-25 first term report. *All materials are due to Pike by February 3, 2025. Standardized tests may be included in materials from the current school or test site but are not required to complete the application.

Submit Standardized Test Scores (Optional)
- All applicants to grades 5 - 9 are permitted but not required to submit standardized test scores. Standardized testing could include: Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), Measure of Academic Progress (MAP), or Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS).
- Please email scores to admission@pikeschool.org.
- Submission of standardized test scores is optional.
Submit TOEFL Scores ( International Students Only)
- The TOEFL Primary (ages 8-10) or the TOEFL Jr. (ages 11-14) is required for all applicants ages 8 and up whose education has been primarily outside of the United States.
- SSAT, ISEE, Duolingo, and IELTS are not accepted alternatives to TOEFL.
- No minimum score is required on the TOEFL to be able to proceed with the application.

- If applicants are unable to access the TOEFL Primary or TOEFL Jr. or if applicants are under age 8, please contact the Admission Office at admission@pikeschool.org.
Step 7: Admission Decision Notification
Families will be notified on February 28, 2025. The Admission team will call you, and you will receive notification via the U.S. Post. Please note: Early notification for completed Pre-K applicants will be on February 3, 2025.

Lower School (Grades Pre-K - 4)
Pre-K

- Classroom Visit Days will be held on November 21, 2024, December 10, 2024, or January 23, 2025. Please call the Admission team for detailed information.
*Pre-K applicants with a completed application before February 3, 2025 will receive an early decision on February 3, 2025. For those Pre-K applicants still in process, we will notify on February 28, 2025.
Kindergarten

The admission process is designed to gather as much information as possible about each child to determine whether Pike will be a good match for their learning needs. Throughout the admission process, we learn about the candidate through a parent/guardian interview, the teacher recommendation, school reports, and assessments. In November, December, and January, assessments take place during a group classroom visit day with other applicants.

Through Pike's Secondary School Advising Process, our advisors work in collaboration with both students and families to determine the most suitable schools for each individual.
