Congratulations Pike Class of 2025!

Congratulations Pike Class of 2025!

“Graduates, your Pike education is where you start from; it is now part of you and will shape your journey ahead in ways both seen and unseen. The lessons you’ve learned, the friendships you’ve built, and the experiences you have shared will always stay with you, and they will empower you, wherever life takes you next.”

-Interim Head of School, Will Powers

The Pike School’s 98th graduation was a day filled with celebration, reflection, and meaningful milestones, as trustees, faculty, staff, and families came together to honor the culmination of the Class of 2025’s journey, marked by creativity, compassion, and a joyful spirit of collaboration.

Drawing inspiration from Pike’s founder, Cynthia Pike, and the school’s motto Non Sibi Solum-not for oneself alone, Interim Head of School, Will Powers, reminded students that shaping the future requires more than just looking to the past, it calls for bold action, creative thinking, and a willingness to embrace change. He encouraged the Class of 2025 to challenge assumptions, lead with purpose, and, above all, to grow where they are planted, even when the journey looks different from what was expected.

“More often than not, the places you end up may provide a different pathway for you, one that reveals strengths you have not yet recognized in yourself.”

-Interim Head of School, Will Powers

The Eighth Grade Class Speaker beautifully reflected on a decade-long journey at Pike, emphasizing how Pike was a place where she could show up authentically every day, accepted and encouraged for exactly who she is. Drawing on her own experience of belonging, personal discovery, and academic growth, she encouraged her classmates to believe in themselves, even when things feel uncertain. She reminded them to persevere, lead with kindness, and support those around them.

Our Ninth Grade Class Speaker reflected on what made this past year his “best ever,” highlighting everything from inspiring teachers and meaningful classroom moments to the unforgettable experience of raising endangered wood turtles for release. With each step, his confidence grew, a reminder that Pike students are ready to meet whatever lies ahead with courage, connection, and the strength of their Pike foundation.

“Pike has given us the opportunity to think deeply, take risks, and trust ourselves, even when making mistakes—a gift we'll carry long after leaving these hallways.”

"Pike taught me that people learn and show what they know in different ways—and that teachers are there to help you succeed, not just to grade you."

As the applause began, and each student walked across the stage as Trusted Friends, Curious Learners, Optimistic Innovators, Agile Collaborators, and Courageous Advocates, we bid farewell to the Class of 2025, confident that they will shine brightly as Pike graduates and make meaningful contributions to the world as they continue their journey beyond Pike.
