Dear Pike Community,

The Pike School’s graduation, held on June 10, 2026, was a day filled with celebration, reflection, and meaningful milestones, as trustees, faculty, staff, and families came together to honor the culmination of the Class of 2026’s journey.

Reflecting on the lessons she learned from the graduating class, Head of School Honor Taft shared how the Class of 2026 helped shape her own first year at Pike. Drawing on conversations with students throughout the year, she highlighted three defining qualities of the class: a deep commitment to living Pike's motto, Non Sibi Solum, the courage to embrace growth and step beyond their comfort zones, and the creation of a community where every individual feels seen, valued, and able to be their authentic self. Encouraging graduates to carry these values forward, she reminded them that their ideas, voices, and acts of kindness have the power to make a meaningful difference in the world, and challenged them to use them boldly.

Care for them, share them through small gestures, use your voice to advocate for them, and bring them the safety of the harbor wherever you go."

The Eighth Grade Class Speaker reflected on the journey of the Class of 2026, from their earliest days at Pike to their final moments together as graduates. Celebrating the friendships, traditions, and everyday experiences that shaped their time at school, she reminded classmates that the moments they will cherish most are often the simplest ones, shared laughter, supportive teachers, and time spent together as a community. Expressing gratitude for the families, educators, coaches, and friends who guided them along the way, she encouraged her classmates to carry forward the lessons, memories, and connections they built at Pike, knowing that wherever they go next, a part of them will always belong here.

Reflecting on his journey as a Pike student since Kindergarten, our Ninth Grade Class Speaker shared how Pike helped him develop the confidence to embrace who he is and pursue what matters most to him. Through personal stories, humor, and reflections on his experiences in Pike 9, he encouraged fellow graduates to live authentically, take risks, and make choices based on their own values rather than the expectations of others. Expressing gratitude for the friendships, teachers, coaches, and experiences that shaped him along the way, he celebrated the lasting impact of the Pike community and the unexpected opportunities that can emerge when we remain open to new paths.

As the applause began, and each student walked across the stage as Trusted Friends, Curious Learners, Optimistic Innovators, Agile Collaborators, and Courageous Advocates, we bid farewell to the Class of 2026, confident that they will shine brightly as Pike graduates and make meaningful contributions to the world as they continue their journey beyond Pike.
