Pike was honored to welcome State Representative Tram T. Nguyen to campus as part of our Earth Week celebrations. Recently appointed Chair of the House Committee on Climate Action and Sustainability, Rep. Nguyen brought energy, insight, and inspiration to a day filled with meaningful connections and conversations.
Her visit began in fourth grade, where she met our Courageous Advocates—students who had written persuasive letters to her advocating for environmental change. Over lunch, Rep. Nguyen joined the Upper School Generation Green Council to discuss Pike’s sustainability initiatives and the power of student voices in shaping the future.
In the afternoon, she helped judge our Upcycling Challenge, applauding the creativity and resourcefulness of our student designers. She closed out her visit with a lively Q&A session with sixth graders, taking time for thoughtful conversation and a few selfies along the way!
Rep. Nguyen encouraged students to “find your why” as they think about the change they want to create in the world. We’re grateful for her leadership, her commitment to inclusive communities, and for reminding us all that purpose and action go hand in hand.
