Results From the Newton Community Education’s Virtual Spring Fling Speech Tournament

On Sunday, April 11 The Pike School Speech Team participated in the Newton Community Education’s Virtual Spring Fling Speech Tournament. Pike enrolled a robust group of 28 competitors who did an outstanding job delivering their speeches with over 150 students from six different schools across Massachusetts.

The team has a lot to be proud of this speech season. On Sunday, 29 Pike students competed, 12 of whom broke into the final round and placed in the top 8 including two students that competed in two final rounds. We also had two honorable mentions (see full results below). What an amazing day!

A special thanks to our amazing Speech Team Pike Families—eight parent judges who made the day possible. We couldn’t do it without your help!

The next Massachusetts Middle School Speech League tournament is open to all novice and veteran Speech Team students and will be held on Sunday, May 2. Go Pike!
