Seventh Grade Renaissance Art Gallery Brings History to Life

Seventh Grade Renaissance Art Gallery Brings History to Life

Pike’s seventh grade students showcased their knowledge and creativity at the Renaissance Art Gallery, held just outside the theater. This event marked the culmination of weeks of studying the Renaissance, with a focus on the art of both Italy and Northern Europe.

For their final project, students selected a Renaissance artist to research and create interactive digital books using Book Creator. Each student also analyzed a Renaissance masterpiece—whether a painting, sculpture, or architectural work—highlighting the seven key characteristics of Renaissance art. These thoughtful analyses were included in their digital books.

The gallery allowed students to share their projects in a museum-like setting, fostering rich discussions and a deeper appreciation for the art and innovation of the Renaissance period.
