Adopt the Pike Garden!

Please adopt The Pike School garden for a week this summer! We need families to water and harvest vegetables and herbs a few times each week.

There are two small garden areas here at Pike. The Pre-K garden is in front of the school by the Pre-K play area. There is a hose attached to the front of the school to water this garden. In the back of the school near the Lower School play area are a few more raised beds. There is a hose for watering this garden near these beds. Feel free to harvest and enjoy any veggies or herbs that you would like! Depending on the weather the gardens need to be watered a few times per week. A good test to see if the soil needs to be watered is to stick your finger in the soil, press a small amount together and if it falls apart, the soil needs water. If the soil feels dry, then it probably needs to be watered.
