Posted 02/12/2018 07:51AM

Several members of Pike's Upper School earned recognition for their artwork as part of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a prestigious regional and national competition for young artists and writers in grades 7-12. The students mentioned below are among the winners for the Massachusetts region. The gold key award winners will be considered to move on to nationals.

Award winners represent the top-20 percent of all entries with gold key winners representing the top-10 percent of work in each of the 29 categories. Regional Gold Key artwork is currently being considered for national recognition in New York City. National Medalists will be announced in March.

At the national level, Pike students will have a chance to earn scholarships, see their works exhibited or published and to be honored by a program considered "the most prestigious recognition for creative teens in the U.S."

Congratulations to all who participated!
