Upper School Spirit Week

The Upper School student council is sponsoring a new event for the week before Spring Break, March 6-10. Their goal is to provide an opportunity for students to focus on community mid-year and to have a bit of fun together.
They have chosen the theme of "Encouraging each other to step outside our comfort zones." Students will be encouraged to participate in daily themed dress down (or up as the case may be) days. Here is a list of the themes for the week:
Monday, March 6 - Mimic Monday
Students may dress as someone they admire or aspire to be. This may be a fictional character, historical figure or living person. Students will wear name tags that express the quality the student admires in their character of choice.
Tuesday, March 7 - Texas-sized Tuesday
Students are encouraged to wear western wear.
Wednesday, March 8 - Wacky Wednesday
This is an opportunity to express your creativity and humor. Bright colors encouraged!
Thursday, March 9 - Thankfully Thursday
Students may wear regular dress down day attire
Friday, March 10 - Positively Pike Day
Students are encouraged to wear Pike colors or Pike gear. They will also be creating a Positively Pike display highlighting their positive Pike thoughts.
Please note that participation is voluntary. If students do not wish to participate in a given day, they should adhere to school dress code. In addition, the student council would like to encourage support of the charity for the year, SOS Children's Villages. A suggested donation of $1 per dress down day or unused school supplies is welcome but not required.
