Grade 1 Long Term Substitute
The Pike School is seeking an experienced early elementary teacher for a temporary position, from the beginning of the school year (late August 2018) through January 2019. A masters degree is preferred; certification is required. Responsibilities include: teaching first grade homeroom of 10 students in math, language arts, social studies, science, and social/emotional curriculum. Understanding of early elementary curriculum, strong classroom management skills, and an ability to collaborate with two first grade colleagues are essential.

Are you looking to be a part of an educational setting, working with children? We are an independent, PK–9, elementary day school seeking substitute teachers. Bachelor's degree and some experience teaching or working with elementary age students are strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a history of punctuality, responsibility and flexibility.
Substitutes could be asked to teach full or half days in regular or specialists' classrooms (indicate if preference). They are expected to provide instruction and implementation of lesson plans, manage the classroom, and ensure student learning.
