Summer Academics

At Pike, learning doesn’t stop when the school year ends.

Our Summer Academic resources are designed to help students stay engaged, explore new ideas, and return to school ready to thrive. Whether diving into a good book, keeping math skills fresh, or engaging with required reading for Upper School, families will find everything they need  to support a summer of growth and curiosity.

As Upper School English Teachers, we believe in fostering a community of readers - adults and children who love to read and to talk about what they are reading with others. Not only does reading improve literacy and positively impact academic achievement, it also helps us to learn about ourselves and the world around us. We think that summer is an especially rich time to exercise the brain, to enhance readiness and skills necessary for the next academic year, and to encourage reading for pleasure.
