We have some fantastic news to share about our Middle School Math Olympiad team!
In Middle School, we support children in their practice of utilizing a growth mindset. This allows all students to better understand themselves as unique learners, while reinforcing the idea that embracing challenges and learning from our mistakes leads to deeper understanding.Adam Dalicandro, 4th Grade Teacher
Seventh Grade history students explore stories of growth, power and struggle. They find their voices in class discussions and learn about others who used their own voices to make change in the world. Our students will have the opportunity to make the world a better place, I hope that this course plays a role in helping them be more compassionate and informed.Mary Machado, 7th Grade History Teacher
Pike students are one of a kind and they make finding and choosing joy in the workplace so easy. I am truly honored to work with the best and brightest our future has to offer.Lauri Perez, Upper School Spanish Teacher
I have been lucky to experience Pike as a student, a teacher, and also a parent. For me, Pike has always been a community that is welcoming, nurturing, and inspiring. It truly exudes positive energy that can be felt from all perspectives.Hilary Munroe, Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
The students at Pike are exceptional, compassionate, and wonderful human beings. It is a pleasure to make music with these young people every day.
Emeric Viani, Lower and Middle School Music
As a teacher at Pike, I value the opportunity to explore a rich curriculum, from the science behind simple machines to the cultural traditions of México. I value the opportunity to create a community where I know the unique identities and passions of the children in my space. Teaching second grade isn't the most important thing I do — teaching children is. Julia Alexander, Grade 2 Teacher

Juneteenth is an annual holiday commemorating the official end of slavery on June 19th, 1865. Traditionally, it is celebrated with art, music, food, and family reunions.
But for many this year, reunions will be replaced with funerals and protests, demanding justice over the tragic deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and most recently Rayshard Brooks.
